IUPUI Safewalk Program.

24 hours a day and seven days a week, IUPUI Police provides Safewalk— a safe and reliable alternative to walking alone at night around the campus community and beyond.

Safewalk was created not as a reaction to crime, but as a proactive step to build the safest possible campus community. We serve campus by walking individuals and patrolling as a measure of crime deterrence.

Safewalk is free of charge and is available to any member of the surrounding community—undergrads, graduate students, staff, faculty, and members of the public.

Between the hours of 6 pm and Midnight extra police employees are on duty to provide walking escorts anywhere on campus. Outside of those hours on-duty IUPUI police and security officers are available to provide these walking escorts.
